Candidates
Funnily enough even those who we haven’t helped often recommend us because we’ve simply treated them like a human being.
Back to Work Training
In an ever changing market one constant is the need to provide candidates with advice on their CVs, their interview techniques, their job search and so on. We've always tried to give over a portion of our day to this even if you're looking in a sector that we don't cover. But we're a small team and we've been inundated lately with requests for help. Try as we might there's only so many hours in the day, so recognising a need we've invested in the Five Steps to Work Training Programme which has been developed to give personal support whilst equipping job seekers with the best possible tools.
This programme will help you stand out from the crowd, create a great CV, and shine on interview. Each module contains exercises and assignments that will help you put what you've learnt into practice. There are two options to choose from, one is online only, for you to work through on your own or there's a more comprehensive version which gives you dedicated time with one of our consultants, who is there to advise, encourage and support your progress.
Five Steps to Work is the result of years of experience, delivered by people who care passionately about structured job search training and know how life changing it can be. It's a unique course, built to give you the best possible edge in a competitive job market.
What It's All About
Module 1 - too often ignored, the vital first step of taking time to think about you, your values, motivators, experience and skills and how these shape the kind of job you should look for and where your skills / strengths can bring the greatest value.
Module 2 - next you need to identify your target market, where to focus your search efforts and how to make the most of the channels of communication available to you, equipping you with everything you need to target your job search effectively.
Module 3 - focusing on the all important CV, how to best present yourself, how to tailor your skills and experience to each role, and how to make sure your application stands out from the rest.
Module 4 - the interview, often the biggest challenge. You'll learn about the various interview methods, useful, tools, tips and techniques, so you'll interview with confidence and be able to sell yourself in the most challenging of interview situations.
Module 5 - summarising what you've learnt and also addressing all the things you can do post interview to stand out from the crowd and turn your interviews into job offers.

Difficult to say, as it depends on each individual, and the more you put in the more you'll get out. As a rule of thumb each module can take about one and half hours to complete. It's likely your personal coach will spend three hours of one to one time with you.
